Oh my Gosh! You see more objectionable things on television than 2 paintings of women in lingere. Hope nobody leaves a Victoria's Secret Catalog laying around. Why is it that art gets called pornographic, when kids see much worse on tv and that is ok? They see much worse walking through the mall...have you seen the stuff they hang in the windows now to "advertise?" That stuff isn't even in the same catagory as art. Does that mean that kids can't look at Roman art because they are nude? As an artist myself, I explain to my children (7, 10 and 14) that the human body is a beautiful work of art...that God made. People choose to celebrate that vision in different ways. If you tell children that the only good thing a naked body is for is sex, then what do you think they are going to believe? I for one, am not going to let my daughter believe that the only good thing her body is for is as a sexual object...

Well...now that I have recieved a quick Bible lesson... Worry about your own soul, I will worry about mine. The guy down the street will worry about his. I use these "objectionable" moments to discuss with my children sexuality and the meaning of being responsible owners of thier body. I am not going to hide from them how the world really is. It is violent, it is sexually charged and objectionable at times. Art is provoking. Thoght provoking, conversation provoking, vomit provoking. Whatever it may be. It is what it is. Use it to educate, not enduce fear. This just reminds me of when Rumsfeild wanted to cover Lady Justice because she had an exposed boob. What is it with the Christian sect that makes them so afraid of naked women? Can't your men control themselves? That reminds me of...Islam. That is why thier women are covered, because they believe the men are unable to control themselves. More in common than you thought...huh? My grandad always told me that the ones who scream the loudest, usually have the biggest skeletons to hide.
